A Great Time of Year

It's hard not to be excited at this time of year. The leaves are peaked, hockey and football has gotten going again and most importantly, the coldwater fishing has picked up. The past few weeks have taken us to three different states in search of everything from stream trout on dries to chrome steelhead on two-handed rods. While fishing was better on some days was better than others, the sights and memories of being out made for great trips each time out...
Meg's first encounter with a snotty trout turned out to be a successful one after about 20 minutes of being refused...These weren't taken at the aquarium...

Steelheading has been tough with water conditions being inconsistent at best, but fish are there to be had if you are willing to put some work in...

Gotta love Canadian moonshine beer being sold in grocery stores...

While keeping up with my decreasing stockpile of flies and working long hours have kept me from updating this as much as I would like, I will try to keep some posts going as the season progresses. Hope you're all going out there and getting into what is surely my favorite time of year!
